I’ve gone off script a bit here by choosing a photo challenge — but as you know pictures can tell a story. This story takes place in St. Andrews, Scotland. So many hidden treasures — both historical and contemporary. Here are a few frames I enjoyed:

The Episcopal Church, a stone’s throw from the Cathedral on Castle Street (the Castle is also in ruins), features an enclosed entry garden bordered on three sides by buildings, and entered through a gate:


Across the from the Castle sits a little bed and breakfast. The windows are decked out every year with beautiful flowers — which love the St. Andrews climate — and frame the windows colorfully:


Finally, in another part of Britain entirely, the frame for this stained glass window is simply lack of light (Nantwich in Cheshire):
